LACNIC ON THE MOVE – DOMINICAN REPUBLIC August 22, 2016

The Internet Address Registry for Latin America and the Caribbean (LACNIC) is pleased to announce the second 2016 LACNIC On The Move meeting, which will be held on August 22, 2016 in the Dominican Republic at Hotel Barceló Santo Domingo.

LACNIC On The Move consists of a series of activities, tutorials, training and information on the services offered by LACNIC, Internet number resources, Internet Governance and other topics aimed at policy makers, government officials, regulators, ICT professionals, students, members of academia, journalists, and other interested parties.

This second LACNIC On The Move meeting is being organized together with NIC.DO and will be held from 22 to 25 August in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, within the framework of the country’s Internet Week.

Our experts will be sharing their expertise and knowledge on relevant issues related to the Internet, such as IP network management, IPv6, DNSSEC, RPKI, cybersecurity, and many others.

The event is free to attend but the number of seats is limited, so we invite everyone interested in participating in this major event to register as soon as possible.

HONDURAS 2016

Enduring

The first 2016 edition of LACNIC On The Move will be held jointly with Honduras’s National Telecommunications Commission (CONATEL) and ICANN on 18, 19 and April 20 at the Hotel Plaza Juan Carlos.

LACNIC On The Move Honduras will focus on sharing information, experiences and best practices on cybersecurity, IPv6 deployment, as well as key current Global Internet Governance issues. Our experts will also be sharing their knowledge on other relevant issues such as Internet numbering resources, policy development processes and the problems the region is currently facing.

LACNIC and CaribNOG are pleased to annouce the joint meeting of LACNIC Caribbean on the Move and CaribNOG’s historic 10th Regional Gathering at the Best Western Belize Biltmore Plaza Hotel in Belize City, Belize from November 2 to 6, 2015. This event is being held at the kind invitation of the Public Utilities Commission of Belize.

Support for this event is being provided by Google, the Caribbean Telecommunications Union (CTU), the American Registry for Internet Numbers (ARIN), the Packet Clearing House (PCH), the BrightPath Foundation, and the Internet Cooperation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) and the Amsterdam Internet Exchange Caribbean (AMS-IX Caribbean).

LACNIC Caribbean on the move will take place on November 2, 2015 and consists of seminars on LACNIC services, Internet number resources and Internet Governance. LACNIC Caribbean on the move will target, inter alia, senior policy makers/government officials, regulators, IT professionals, university students, and technology journalists and bloggers.

CaribNOG10 will take place from November 3 to 6, and is expected to draw industry experts from across the region and around the world. CaribNOG is a critical forum on the region’s technology landscape for rich technical discussions where we seek to better position the Caribbean to address critical technology challenges and issues and to collaboratively derive relevant solutions.

Registration for this event is absolutely free and can be done by clicking the  ‘Register’ tab to the right. During the event, live webstreaming and chat will be available to facilitate remote participants. Kindly note that remote participants are not required to register as the webstreaming link will be made publicly available at the start of the event on the LACNIC Caribbean on the move and CaribNOG10 websites.
