The goal of this activity is to provide hands-on experience on some of the concepts of DNS and DNSSEC. Participants will review how to configure recursive and authoritative servers and learn the basics of troubleshooting and monitoring. 

  • Brief overview of DNS
  • What is DNSSEC and how does it work (basic and not so basic)?
  • Hands-on configuration of a recursive DNS server with DNSSEC validation and Hyperlocal
  • Hands-on configuration of an authoritative DNS server, key pair generation and DNS zone signing
  • Basic troubleshooting
